Here is the game, in it's entirety:

...

CASTING:

The cast, of four or five, chooses one of their number to be their Sovereign; all others are Courtiers.  Optionally, an additional player as Herald, who reads out these instructions as they become relevant.

STAGING:

The Courtiers sit together, mainly facing one another. The Sovereign sits slightly apart, facing the audience or camera (real or imagined), a mirror, a blank wall, or a rubber duck, as desired.

PREAMBLE:

The Sovereign introduces themself aloud, with an abundance of titles, and attempts to reassure their audience that a list of flaws that said Sovereign possesses are merely rumour, thereby introducing us to those flaws.

,,,

ACT 1: The Beginning

The Courtiers tell one another rumours about a truly bad and scandalous decision the Sovereign has lately made, because of their obvious flaws.

ACT 2: Slightly Later

The Courtiers tell one another rumours relating to the troubling fallout of the terrible action(s) recently taken by their Sovereign.

A momentary pause.

The Sovereign delivers a short soliloquy describing the truth, to their audience, which must be based in these rumours.

ACT 3: Later Still

The Courtiers tell one another rumours about a reprehensible response the Sovereign has made to the trouble they are now in.

A momentary pause.

The Sovereign delivers a short soliloquy describing the truth, to their audience, which must be based in these rumours.

ACT 4: The Ending

The Courtiers tell one another rumours about how the reprehensible response has failed, and of the terrible doom that is now coming for the Sovereign, as a result of their awful decisions and obvious flaws.

A momentary pause.

The Sovereign delivers a short soliloquy describing the truth, which must be based in these rumours, and how they now, too late, see it was their fault all along.
